The Beards are an Australian comedy folk band that have been touring the globe sharing the joys of having a beard since 2005. Originally from Adelaide they have been making hilarious (but true they would say) songs about the joys of having a beard and why being clean shaven is such a disaster. This band is hugely popular in heavily bearded countries such as Scotland and Germany, and hugely liked by, funnily enough, bearded guys.

Before I heard them live, I’m not going to lie, I was a bit wary. Although I went ahead and contacted them as I thought they sounded great, but after seeing their gig I was quickly a massive fan. I wasn’t a fan just because I have a thing for beards and when I caught up with them in Manchester, the venue was surrounded by beautiful bearded men, but their songs are hilarious, powerful and very catchy.
