I loved interviewing apprentices at the Havering College Female Bricklaying competition organised by Forterra. I spoke to them about the stereotypes that come with their choice of work and gender bias, all for #BalanceForBetter for International Women’s Day on the Sadie Nine show for BBC Essex.

I found both students incredible inspirational as they told they story behind wanting to be bricklayer and the response they receive from their loved ones for choosing to do so.
