When producing the BBC Essex special with Wendy Cole and Alan Mitchell called “A Second Chance At Life”, which was also part networked across all 39 BBC Local Radio stations called, “Life’s Second Chances”, I wanted to share both coronavirus survivors stories and their long recovery even further, because each one had such strength and courage, and had a powerful message.

Alan was interviewed and filmed for BBC Look East and I co-wrote an article with Laurence Cawley for BBC News sharing both their stories. Thank you to Mark for the commission and Laurence for your edits.
