Every Saturday afternoon, the BBC World Service broadcasts a programme called The History Hour, presented by Max Pearson. This programme is a compilation of fantastic Witness History programmes from the week, which can take the listener all across the world, to different periods of time, and delving into a number of different topics.
Producing The History Hour involves a lot of cue writing, editing and technical admin, as well as organising a pre recorded interview with an expert on one of the subjects from one of the programmes being broadcast.
I was delighted to be given the opportunity to produce the programme on my own for a week, and I learnt alot in the process. It reminded me of my time working with Radio 2, with alot of precise editing and back timing involved.
